(160323) — GAZA, March 23, 2016 (Xinhua)– Rooftop solar panels are seen on the roof of a hospital, in Gaza City, on March 22, 2016. Palestinian use the solar panels which converts the energy of sunlight into electrical power for use it in their houses. Palestinian Energy officials said residents of Gaza, home to 1.8 million people, have been experiencing up to 16 hours of electricity outage a day due to fuel and power shortages. The Gaza Strip, the narrow densely populated Palestinian territory, which has been under a tight Israeli blockade since Islamic Hamas movement’s violent takeover of the coastal enclave in 2007, has been passing through a severe shortage of power, energy and electricity. As the crisis went on for almost one decade, and has been mounting, several Palestinian businessmen, who have trade ties with Chinese companies in China thought about how to find an alternative power generator to reduce the difficulties of the power shortage. In recent months, the businessmen and merchants, who heard about generating power from the heat and the light of the sun, and carefully studied the idea, they started importing the needed equipment for generating power from the sun; this kind of energy is called solar energy and it is popular in so many countries in the world.
